Dr. Ed Mitchell holds graduate degrees From Princeton Theological Seminary and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in the area of pastoral care and counseling, specializing in marriage and family therapy.

Ed is a graduate of the Family Institute of Cincinnati and completed a clinical residency in marriage and family therapy at the Marriage and Family Consultation Center in Houston, TX.   He has served as a clinical supervisor and affiliate professor at Christian Theological Seminary here in Indianapolis.

Ed has been a certified marriage and family therapist for over 30 years.  He is an Approved Supervisor in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.  He is also a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and a nationally certified Group Psychotherapist.  He is also a clinical member of the National Registry of Marriage Friendly Therapists and a certified EMDR therapist.

Dr. Mitchell holds licenses in the state of Indiana as a Clinical Social Worker (#34002250), Marriage and Family Therapist (#35000051) and a Mental Health Counselor (#39000195).

In addition to his work with couples and families, Ed has extensive experience as a group psychotherapist.  He specializes in men’s and couple's groups.

Ed lives with his wife Anna Marie in Indianapolis, and has three grown children.  His interests include music, the outdoors and community involvement. Travel to new and different places and meeting new people are a great source of enjoyment for Ed and Anna Marie.
